Each soldier was assigned to Colonel Joseph Washington Fisher who later became a General and fought in the most important battles of the Civil War. He was assigned to defend Big Round Top Hill at Gettysburg. This original document is a QM ration doc as the 5th camped 1863 prior to their march into significant battles.
