Pages are a bit yellow because of age. <br><br>I am sure that at one time the edges had gold leaf on them. The edges of the pages are unlike the pages you see in books today. <br><br>The paper is of medium weight and was meant to last longer than books today.<br><br>There are 273 pages, an index and content pages.
