Maisels was a company launched in 1923 by Maurice Maisel in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Maisel’s was producing silver items by the late 1920’s and, having added labor saving dies and<br>drop press machinery in the production line, grew quickly in size to employ several hundred Native Americans creating jewelry and other crafts for tourists on Rt. 66. The company was<br>closed in the 1960s after Maurice’s death, reopened by his grandson in the 1980’s, and finally<br>closed in 2019.
