Early Antique Limoges Hand-Painted Turquoise Blue Oyster Plate. This one was made between 1855 and 1891, before they had to start marking each item with the country of manufacture.<br>This one is marked with impressed numbers of 765 and handwritten numbers under the glaze of 53, so we believe this plate was made in 1853.<br>It has six wells for oysters and a center well in blue for lemon or vinegar.<br>It is in excellent condition for its great age, with no chips or cracks!<br>It does have some wear to the high points from stacking,, which is normal for a plate this old.<br>It measures almost 9 inches in diameter.<br><br>Retail $365
