Cadmium, when combined with sulphur, creates cadmium sulfide, resulting in a deep yellow color often used in glazes. Cadmium is toxic. When combined with selenium and sulphur, it produces shades of bright red and orange, causing it to glow yellow, orange, or red under UV light.
