This vintage pin is bold, golden, and impressive. No surprise since it was designed by Jose and Maria Barrera for Avon.<br><br>The pin is from a 1990 jewelry collection called 'Venetian Mist'.<br><br>The pin is a two-part beauty, with the top being a large curved shell-like pod with scrolling lines on a textured background. It holds a seafoam green stone capped in goldtone. The stone looks like stone but may actually be Lucite. The goldtone is heavily plated to last.<br><br>Back in 1989, Jose and Maria Barrera began creating designs for Avon that had a more European boldness to them. This is one of those very collectible pieces.<br><br>The pin measures 3 inches long and is 1 inch wide. The back has a secure rollover clasp. The inside of the pod is marked BARRERA FOR AVON.<br><br>Pin is in excellent vintage condition.
